Song: You Deserve (live version on This is Our God album)
Artist: Hillsong United
Album: In A Valley By The Sea
Tabbed by: Luke Marshall- coolhndlke@gmail.com
This is my second or third tab, first in bout 3 years but this is a Great Song! And
are absolutely no tabs for it. Sorry if it’s lengthy, I just wanted to be through.
It really not hard, just repetitive. I watched the YouTube video for verse part just to
exact fingering. I play it with our youth group all the time.
We played it for the opening song of our fall retreat and it was epic! Great when you
harmony vocals, too.
Just comment or shoot me an email for help.
Effects:
Guitar1: good ole distortion, bit o reverb
Guitar2: four count delay at 3/4ish volume/level on tempo a bit faster than songs. Throw
some distortion and reverb. On choruses switch your pickup channel to the neck position
dampen delay. This way you never have to mess with it. Or just flip the delay off,
sounds fine.
Order:

optional capo on 4 for droning G-string (don’t really need it, just sound fuller).
for timing.
The 11s and 12s are held for 3 measures each playing 8th notes. The line is fluent I
didn't want to write out 24- 11s.

It saved my life, through selfless sacrifice,
G#
Although we fail, the cross prevails,
C#
Forgiveness stands, you take me back again,
Guitar2: lead
"what is this love?" at this point the droning on the G isn’t necessary so you don’t
to play it
