Band: Brand New
Song: Untitled 8 (Drinking And Driving)
Album: Leaked Demos 2006
Tabbed By: Kniife2aGunFight
Tuning: Standard
This song is of extremely poor quality, so forgive me if this is absolutely perfect,
the recording is perfect either.
There are two guitars,
In the first part only guitar 1 is playing, and guitar 1 plays this one riff for most of
song until the bridge
Guitar 1 riff

Losing all my friends.....Losing them to Drinking and Driving
Losing all my friends..............and I wantem back
Slipping out the back........ Did you really think we wouldn’t notice?
Slipping out the back...............In the pouring rain
Yeah
Yeah
But he loved his wife..... You were always faithful to her always
Buried both the kids..............In the summer sun
Praying for his life........Huddled in the brig all with the shipmates
Praying for his life.............And I dropped a bomb

Then Guitar 2 comes in and basically plays the same thing as Guitar 1 but plays most if
all of the entire chord, and strums a lot louder, but if you want to do it with one
just play the chords as so.

What you waiting for............Searching for his brother in an empty
room across the hall.................He's coming back
Listening at night.....Waiting for a son to come up the stairs
Listening at night.........for slamming doors and a car to park, yeah yeah
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Repeat part where guitar 2 came in here, same lyrics and all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then there is a little bridge part, both guitars play, guitar 1 once agian plays simple
and guitar 2 plays whole chords and embelishes
Listen for when guitar 2 rings out. This might get a bit iffy. The amount of strums
not be right but just listen for the change w/ lyrics

Then return to Guitar 1 riff the lines then read :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

(play once no singings)
Tying both your shoes and......Looking past the ocean for the signal
Waiting for a body....................in a open box
They don't send you letters......They don't telephone your innocent son
They don't send you letters..But you're waiting for them You write him, yeah
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Repeat part when guitar 2 comes in, with the same lrics
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Repeat bridge thing with the lyrics as follows
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Call him up this summer on the phone
when you know it feels right again
I'll call him up again
Call him up this summer on the phone
when you know it feels right again
Summer skin
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
then finish with guitar one riff and the line
Summer Skin
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
There it is I hope that's clear enough, some of the lyrics are really iffy, but I did
best I could. That should be pretty accurate.
