RAINY DAY, DREAM AWAY
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
=46rom: justmiller@mindspring.com
This is a pretty easy song, actually, but it was hard for me to get=20
some of the chords right because most of them are 9ths making the roots
slightly ambiguous. Some of the chords and stuff might not be quite=20
right, but they are close enough for me. The beginning and end is=20
basically a D9 chord with Jimi soloing in a D pentatonic scale. By the
way, =8CStill Raining, Still Dreaming=B9 is just the rest of this song
and it is also a D9 chord except for a couple variations. Make sure to
bust out the WAH for this one!
ALSO:
NOTE THAT THIS SONG IS IN STANDARD =8CE=B9 TUNING, NOT =8CEb=B9
-----------------------------
Intro: [solo in D pentatonic]
D9
Hey man, take a look out the window and see what's happening
Hey man, it's raining
It's rainin' outside man
Aw, don't worry about that
Everything's gonna be everything
We'll get into somethin' real nice you know
Sit back and groove on a rainy day
Yeah
Yeah I see what you mean brother, lay back and groove.
