Thanks, Brian for the lyrics. Here are the chords to go along with them.
If I've made an error in the chords let me know. I saw them in Guitar
or some mag. I can't remember. Anyway, they sound pretty true. One more
thing, just a regular G will do instead of a G7, I can't tell much
difference.
Suicide is Painless--Theme from the movie M*A*S*H

Dm7 G7
Through Early morning fog I see
C Am7
Visions of the things to be
Dm7 G7
The pains that are withheld for me
C Am
I realize and I can see
Dm7 G7
That Suicide is Painless
C Am7
It brings on many changes
Dm7 G7 Am
And I can take or leave it if I please
2)Try to find a way to make
All our little joys relate
Without that ever present hate
But now I know that it's too late
And (chorus)
3)The game of life is hard to play
I'm going to lose it anyway
The losing card I'll someday lay
So this is all I have to say
That (chorus)
4)The only way to win is cheat
And lay it down before I'm beat
And to another give a seat
For that's the only painless feat
'Cause (chorus)
5)The sword of time will pierce our skins
It doesn't hurt when it begins
But as it works it's way on in
The pain grow stronger watch it grin
For (chorus)
6)A brave man once requested me
To answer questions that are key
Is it to be or not to be
And I replied "Oh why ask me."
Cause (chorus)
And you can do the same thing if you please
Well there you go. If someone beat me to it, sorry to waste your time.
Take it easy,
Brian

Okay - here's my version of "Suicide is Painless". The sheet music I had
was arranged for piano - so the chords and tab are just guesses. The music
sounds right on piano, but I haven't tested it on guitar.
