Duran Duran - Box Full O' Honey (2007)

Tuning: Standard
This acoustic-orientated tune is the fifth track off the band's Red Carpet Massacre album.
Contrary to some other tabs and youtube videos for the song, there's absolutely no use for a capo
on this song (nor does the song start in Am). Though Dom Brown does play the chords live only
on the first few frets and probably does on the album version as well, there is a way
to do this without going through all the difficult chords Brown is using to play them. Overall
though, the chords used here are pretty simple to play and are quite easy to play throughout
the song. There are no other guitar parts used during the song either.
Here are the chords used during the verses of the song. These are also used during the Middle
8, where Nick Rhodes' keyboards are the most prominent.

Along with the proper chord arrangements, here are the official lyrics for Box Full O' Honey.
Make sure you listen to the song to get a proper idea on how many times to play each one before
moving on to the next arrangement.
D#maj F#maj C#min G#maj
at the sharp end of the view
the edge of me and you
in all good sense dare tread no further
and as the ghost will shiver trees
how I'm trembling on my knees
but I'm still drawn on by the murmur
D#maj [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bmaj[/ch] A#maj
are you laughing at me now?
in my circumstance
when still I wear your crown
my life's penitence for what?
what's so funny
box full o' honey
D#maj F#maj C#min G#maj
what I thought a pretty tune
was howling at the moon
to keep me company this evening
it's so lonely in the dirt
a-scratching at the hurt
that I so generously did leave you
D#maj [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bmaj[/ch] A#maj
are you laughing at me now?
in my circumstance
when still I wear your crown
some cruel penitence for what?
what's so funny
box full o' honey
D#maj F#maj C#min G#maj (play twice during the middle 8)
D#maj F#maj C#min G#maj
is she flirting with me now
ooh is she dallying with me now?
D#maj [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bmaj[/ch] A#maj
ooh are you flirting with me now?
you'll always be my
queen of tumbledown
miss melancholy
D#maj [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bmaj[/ch] A#maj
are you laughing at me now?
in my circumstance
when still I wear your crown
and my life's a penitence for what?
F#maj
what's so funny?
F#maj
ain't it funny
[ch]E[/ch]
box full o' honey
(end on D#maj)
And for the experts out there, I'm pretty sure these are the fingerings for the way Dom Brown
plays them live (or at least close to them).
